silly me

Posted by floatingbridge on May 11, 2010, at 12:06:46

i was looking for just the right forum on which to tell my sad tale (exhausted, pain for who knows why because tests keep returning negative so i'm a headcase, meds not always working, having to take meds, fears that i'm f'n up my son, what will happen when I can't get out of bed, cfs is a condition for psychosomatic tennessee williams characters) and then read this board.

thanks all around for the smile.

>fears that i'm f'n up my son,

You come across here as kind and moderate.

Kids are most often f*ck*d up by too much control and not enough friendly companionship (not to speak of too much confusion!), in my experience.

My son and I share a fondness for the films of Todd Solondz, so the other night we watched "Fear, Anxiety and Depression", his first bleak comedy. You'd only watch it if you had a special interest in him, but it was a lovely time for us.

"Life During Wartime" is out, but only just.

"Happy Ending" hey?

That's not Todd Solondz.

I wonder who did that?

Floating Bridge we have more in common than you will ever know. I know exactly where your're coming from. Seriously I do. Now I just F myself up. My kids are fine and live in their own world no time or caring for me. I gave. But nothing in return. See we are both messed up in our thinking. I know you care for your Son. And are doing a great job. Love Phillipa

Thanks Phillipa & sigi for your kind comments. Life isn't fair at all, is it?

I know I'm an o.k. mum. Caring about my son helps me tackle depression--I want to be here for him. Stacking health issues like cfs or whatever is going on on top is cruel. To 'whom' do I address my complaint?

(My own mum was chronically ill, hence the fear. Then, there was my dad the maniac. I actually had the forbearance not to marry someone like him. :) )
