In all honesty I can relate from the opposite perspective as my Mother had psoriasis covering her whole body. Only clear parts of her skin where palms of hands, soles of feet, and face. Scalp was covered. I know those plaques covered our floors. This was back in the 50's and 60's and no meds for it then but ultraviolet lamps and sun and coal tar. She would soak in a bathtub all night to loosen the scales. Horrible illness. She went on to develop psoroiasis rheumatoid arthritis which she said was worse than the psoriasis. Back then no meds. I lost her when she was 48 and I was 17 through complications of cortisone as was new then and they had no idea what it could do to you. So I do relate. I have feared getting it all my life and 65 now she got the psoriasis age 33 the arthritis maybe l0 years later. In a way you are lucky as I see so many new meds for your conditions available today. Which ones are you taking? Fibromyalgia didn't exist in the medical community then. Feel free to write to me. Phillipa

.... I have tried the coal tar didn't work and I to have a clear face hands and feet I have also tried the OTC stuff and I have tried all the available creams out there my Dermatologist now has me on a cream and vitamin D combo that is not doing much ... as for phototherapy and being in the sun I burn really easy so that out of the question I have also tried the biological meds humaria was what they tried and I failed it too many side effects so I go back in a few weeks and who knows what is left...... as for the fibromyalga I just found that out a few days ago the day I joined here ...... hearing that spun me a little lower into depression ..... like I have some how wronged the universe and this is my payback the big ha ha moment where the joke is on me ....... fibromyalga is not fun hopefully the new Med Lyrica. Will help with the pain ..... so now I have my own mini pharmacy it feels like and I take so much I feel older then dirt when I see all the pill bottles....... I am seeing a therapists every 2 weeks but I just don't have enough time in that hour to talk about everything ..... so my hope is I can talk to people or a person here and have someone to relate to I just want to be better I know I will probably be taking meds for forever but if it helps then I guess that's OK .... thank you for responding to my post .... I hope to talk to u again soon .... sorry for such a long message I don't have very many people to talk to these days
