Somebody's giving up?
The Dalai Lama (like Churchill) said 'Never give up'.
I shall look at those Sufjan Stevens links. What a lovely name Sufjan is, isn't it?
Meanwhile, do you like this?

Sufjan is a beautiful name. My boy chose it as his middle name.
Do you know anyone with the name?
I'm off to look at your link.

That is lovely.
No, I had never heard of it before Sufjan Stevens. We went in Australia from Graham, Bruce and David to Sunshine and Raindance, and now there is the backlash with Ursula and Danton, so I am really pleased to find a way out through Sufjan.
The names in different countries are interesting. Americans have unusual names, not exactly like Ironback Ridge, but close enough, although I would like to mention Moon Unit (Zappa) and God (Kantner and Slick). The French are just not allowed to improvise (just as well?) and have to make do with Jean Michelle or Pierre Jacques.

It is lovely; However it means one who comes with knife. Perfectly suited for the culinary arts.
His other names are interesting as well
. His German surname is an actual sort of knife. German speakers get a faraway look as They retrieve it from memory. His first name I chose, a beautiful one from a certain artist/painter.
In the states there are lots of trends from Dakota to Jaydin spelled in every possible way. We tried to be
distinguished yet middle of the road classifical. We were all surprised he chose Sufjan. I was pleased but thought, another
flaming light sword? Oh well.I have been up since 1:00 a
m. My posting is riddled with wacky typos. Let me ask just once: Please forgive me.
This is the end of the thread.
