Re: elavil (amitryptaline) during pregnancy

I just started on Elavil, 10 mg, myself as part of the treatment for fibromyalgia and related sleep disturbances. Because my husband and I are also trying to conceive, I am very interested in this myself. All I have been able to find is that both the PDR and the Nursing handbook list amitriptyline as "not evaluated"; my PDR also notes that it is excreted in breast milk, so it is not recommended for nursing mothers. Since I am taking such a low level AND monitoring my fertility by charting my temps, I plan to stop it as soon as I suspect I may be pregnant and hope that 2-3 weeks exposure will not be significant. Anyone else have any comments or recommendations, please? Thanks!
