Why is your pdoc having you take Seroquel for Depression? Yes. 200mg of Seroquel is a pretty powerful dose. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic. It can have strongly sedating effects. Also, it has dose related weight gain potential.

The more Seroquel that I take, the more mental and emotional numbness I experience. I have a dx of a very severe form of bipolar-1. I can have psychotic features on the high or low end of my episodes. Seroquel is not only an atypical anti psychotic, but a powerful mood stabilizer. So, it is the only mood stabilizer and antipsychotic that I take.

Like you, I also take Effexor (300 mg daily). I'm very pleased with this ad. But because I have a history of treatment resistivity, I also take T3 (Cytomel) and T4 (synthroid) in doses that allow me to achieve a T3 and T4 blood level in the upper-quartile of the normal range.

I hope that your Depression resolves immediately!

Nancy
