No side effects as yet, but since I just added the Effexor I'm still not feeling up to par. The Wellbutrin was great for increasing my attention span and reading speed, but did not help with the depression. I have suicidal idealisation, crying spells, etc. I'd do anything to get to a state of comfort and contentment.
Hi PL,
My doc. recently added Wellbutrin to the 20mg. of Prozac I currently take. I haven't read of anyone else sharing my experience, but, each time I've tried Wellbutrin (3 times now), I've become profoundly depressed. This has gone away when I've discontinued the Wellbutrin. Just sharing my experience, and there's a post under Buproprion's Metabolism, on psych tips, which cites an article in Biol. Ther. in Psych. July 96 which cites other studies which have shown that Wellbutrin can decrease antidepressant response. I'd ask the doc to taper off the Wellbutrin and boost the Effexor and perhaps add pindolol. Wish you the best, Paul
