annamaira,

I started pulling my hair in middle school, and it
got really bad in high school. I've done it off
and off and on since. I had no idea I had
a problem, and still didn't know I had a problem
or that it WAS a problem until about a year ago
when I read about it here.

My hair pulling seems to come about during times of
excessive stress or boredom. I've hardly pulled
my hair at all since I've been on Wellbutrin. I've
never taken the medications your daughter is on.
I'm on the Wellbutrin for chronic depression/major
depressive episode; not pulling my hair happens to
be a great plus.

One note about trichotillomania -- it isn't confined
to pulling just the hair on your head. People can
also pull out their eyebrows, lashes, arm or leg hair,
and yes, even pubic hair.

The only hair pulling I've done lately is pull those
darn bright shiny gray ones in front. ~grins~

Good luck,

janey girl
