Medscape: Remeron for SSRI sexual dysfunction.

Posted by JohnL on January 8, 2000, at 5:16:18

A recent article in Medscape showed Mianserin to reverse SSRI sexual dysfunction in 16 women participating in the clinical trial. All phases of sexual dysfunction were improved.

Remeron is a close derivative of Mianserin, with the same receptor blocking actions. Perhaps this is why some doctors in Dr Bob's Tips have had success treating SSRI sexual dysfunction with Remeron. I noted no sexual difficulties myself on Prozac when taking Remeron for sleep. JohnL
