Hey, Patty... I was honest with my new pdoc and told him I enjoy a few drinks on the weekend every few weeks. I must say, though, that my depression isn't (wasn't) as bad as some of the ppl here. I am ADD and my depression was a result of that. He asked me if I thought I had a problem with it and I honestly told him "no", I just like a drink now and then. He laughed and said "me too". I believe honesty is the best policy when confering with the doc. BTW, he prescribed Adderall on my first visit after our talk. It certainly has made a difference and I actually haven't had a drink since he did. (maybe the drinks were my way of dealing with my ADD?) Ayway, good luck!
