Got this letter in the mail today it goes like this.
Dear mrs.Ronning
You are invited to participate in an important study of the factors that promote employment success among people w/ disability, you may be eligible to participate in a focus group discussion in the Newark area about your experiences. For participating in a 2-3 hr discussion, you will receive a $25 gift certificate, plus a minimum $10 reimbursement for transportation expenses.Food and refreshments will be provided at the meeting.The study is being conducted by The Lewin Group & Berkeley Policy Associates for the U.S. Department of Heath & Human Services. The Social Serurity Administration provided your name & address to us because their records indicate that you might fit the criteria for this important study.
Our goal is to better understand the kinds of services & supports the goverment can provide for people w/ disabiliyies in order to help them get & maintain jobs. We encourage you to consider participating in this important effort. This is your chance to be heard, & to have an influence on future public policy & programs.
If you...
. have a significant heath condition or disability, or are deaf;
. are working & earn &625 per month or more;
. are 18yrs of age or older;&
. became disabled before age 25;Please contact The Lewin Group by July 5, 2000 to express an interest in participating in a focus group disussion in the Newark area in mid-July.
