I'm with you on the decreased sleepiness at higher doses. I was much sleepier at 15mgs than at 45. My doc told me this would happen, although I have unable to find much on the subject at any of the websites. I took Rem for about a year, initially for depression, but in the end for insomnia. The appetite problem never subsided for me which prompted me to stop it.
