This is what I found:There are 5 interactions for Dexedrine , Effexor , lithium and Zyprexa :
0 severe, 1 medium, and 4 mild (4 are drug/drug interactions , 1 is a food/drug interaction).
1. Medium Food Interaction for Effexor (generic: venlafaxine)Grapefruit juice may significantly increase the pharmacologic activity of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4. The mechanism is impairment of first-pass metabolism by a grapefruit juice bioflavonoid. It is recommended that patients who are taking drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 avoid grapefruit juice to help prevent adverse effects.
2. Mild Interaction between lithium (generic: lithium) and Dexedrine (generic: dextroamphetamine)The stimulatory effects of amphetamines may be inhibited by lithium carbonate. The specific mechanism of action has not been reported. It is recommended that the clinician be aware of this potential interaction.
3. Mild Interaction between lithium (generic: lithium) and Effexor (generic: venlafaxine)CNS-depressant and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects.
4. Mild Interaction between lithium (generic: lithium) and Zyprexa (generic: olanzapine)CNS-depressant and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects.
5. Mild Interaction between Effexor (generic: venlafaxine) and Zyprexa (generic: olanzapine)CNS-depressant and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects.
I'll add this:
Last, as always check with your doctor and report any troubling side effects.
