Coming off Effexor in UK

Hi,

I've been on Effexor for about 6 months for anxiety. I started to feel unwell with a racing heart (pulse) I went to the doctor and the ecg readout showed a resting heart rate of 120pm (but no problem with blood presure). I am coming off Effexor slowly. I was only on 150mg and after 2 and a half weeks, have managed to get down to 56mg . Thing is, my heart rate hasn't got much better. I'm still having palpatations and a fast heart beat. Is this common? It is very concerning to me.
