depakote and wellbutrin and weight gain????

i am on 100 mg. of wellbutrin SR a day and i have had NO appetite and have been losing weight. my doctor just added 500 mg. of depakote ER and says it will make me gain weight and i am not happy about that. has anyone had experience with this? maybe the wellbutrin will counteract the depakote or something? any tips????
