one more question about amitriptyline (and thyroid

a couple of sites that i have been looking at recommend extreme caution when taking amitriptyline if you have thyroid problems - why? i take levoxyl and have just been prescribed amitriptyline (will take 150 mgs once i can tolerate it) - what should i be looking for as far as this whole thyroid thing?
