I'm finding that both my 14 year old daughter and I are going through this (we have both been Effexor free for 8 days (yay!) after weaning over a 2-3 month period. I would chalk mine up to perimenopause :) but my daughter's mood swings seem worse.

Jerz, I'm finally off Effexor XR, if for only 4 days now. Going fairly well, I weaned off it very slowly after trying several every other day methods, taking 37.5mg, then stopping. Those attempts were very rough. Weaning from 37 mg to 18, then to 10-12 over several weeks has resulted in headaches, a little vertigo, and some wooshing sounds in the head, no brain zapping or other more major symptoms such as shakes/tremors, chills/sweats. But only day 4, I'll know more soon.
