SSRIs kill of brain neurons; Klonopin protects?

Posted by Pattisun on July 7, 2001, at 12:49:17

A friend just sent this to me. What do you think?

Don't want to alarm everyone, but I wanted to get some discussion going on this.

"I was horrified recently to learn that antidepressants in the upper family such as prozac and zoloft can eventually kill off brain neurons because of making them flash so
quickly-or something to that effect. I read the info on one of Dr. Paul Cheney sites. He mentioned Klonoping -doxepin-and magnesium as being protectors for our brains/neurons."

What do you think--I'm tapering off Paxil and I take Klonopin.
