Things look scary

Posted by adamie on October 14, 2001, at 16:58:03

hi. Recently my depression has been very severe but seemed to perhaps be getting slightly better today.

Yesterday and the few days before I have had quite a bit of scary thoughts. I would look at something. Anything. Like say I would look at a lamp. And this lamp would look frightening. Anyone ever experience anything like this with severe depression? And also I could try to think of something. Like say a tv show. This tv show in my mind would appear frightening as well. I am stopping my Celexa medication. I feel without a doubt it has been making my depression worse.

There is still some scariness today but hopefully that will all go away very soon as my depression turns to lesser severity as when before I was on the medication. Perhaps this symptom is part of a certain specific type of depression which may be better suited being treated by some specific class of medication. Anyone have any ideas? I have been made significantly worse by many anti depressants. Expecially SSRI's. Thanks for reading.
