Why is Neurontin necessary to Wellbutrin for me?

Posted by ivoovi on December 5, 2001, at 12:48:15

Hi...I am on Wellbutrin 300mg and Neurontin 900mg. Alone, the wellbutrin does not work...I am still quite depressed, although it has a bit of a motivating effect, but no antidepressent quality. The neurontin doesn't do anything (makes me more depressed, even) when used alone. However, when I combine the two, it's the perfect combination -- within 2 hours of taking the neurontin I can feel the effects! Does anyone know why this may be? I mean, does anyone have a biochemical answer? A possible, specific, MOA?

Thanks much!

-Chris
