In reply to which anti-psychotic is less likely to cause eps, posted by borderliner21 on January 17, 2002, at 1:15:54

I have a decent answer to your question, and your concern about EPS is understandable.

_Olanzapine_

Olanzapine vs. Risperidone (http://www.vh.org/Providers/Conferences/CPS/04.html#OLANZAPINE):

"Finally, the adverse drug reactions favored olanzapine in that fewer patients experience extrapyramidal side effects, sexual dysfunction, and drooling."

_Quetiapine_

(http://www.vh.org/Providers/Conferences/CPS/04.html#QUETIAPINE):

"There was no difference between quetiapine and placebo treatment groups in the incidence of EPS in 3 placebo-controlled clinical trials using variable doses of quetiapine."

There was no difference between quetiapine and placebo treatment groups in the incidence of EPSE in 3 placebo-controlled clinical trials using variable doses of quetiapine.
