Thank you for posting this; fascinating stuff.
The history of medicine in general is something
I would have like to pursue in graduate studies.
I can imagine the fights between these two
factions, just as I have seen many in the area
of Philosophy.

Of course each side will defend its position with
the best arguments and evidence. As one of
my profs used to say "where there's an "ism"
there's been a fight".

In this case, my fear of the neurologists, correct
as they may be in believing that the *cause*
of mental illness is neurologically based and
more importantly, cured, can really *uck up in
a way that psychiatrists can't.
