It was T4 (thyroxine).

T3 = triidothyronine
T4 = thyroxine

T4 gets transformed into T3 within individual cells. T3 is often given the credit for enhancing the therapeutic effects of antidepressants. T3 (Cytomel) made my bipolar depression much worse. I found T4 to be somewhat helpful.
