There are theories that certain mood disorders and migranes might be caused by some sort of serotonergically mediated increase in inflamation signalling (or something).
I wouldn't call this serotonin syndrome by any means. I've never heard of serotonin syndrome occuring in the absence of a serotonergic medication.
