Not quite... it means where the dopamine blockade is taking place for whatever reason is spilling over into the wrong pathway, principally the nigrostriatal system.

If I had the ability these days to read much, Stahl is a good source of information.


As for the discussion, I also don't see the purpose of Risperdal for sleep... low dose Seroquel, if an AP is to be used makes much more sense, at least to me.

I know Risperdal gave me bizarre nightmares.

Low dose amitriptyline (10mg) would be better. Doxepin possibly but it isn't terribly strong and wears off (at least in my experience).

Or doxylamine (Unisom doxylamine formation OTC).
