Tianeptine is a unique med, and not particularly less effective than regular antidepressants. It has analgetic properties. It has virtually no side-effects for most people - apart from the weird dreams..
That there is not much future for the drug is more because of its expired patent.. Noone can make much money out of it!
Current meds: sertraline 200mg; amitriptyline 50mg; melatonin 0.3mg. PRN: diazepam (Valium) 2.5-10mg.
