On my most recent and most pleasant (really!) inpt. stay, the pdoc I was assigned to said that I am most likely a 'fast metabolizer' and that is why I develop tolerance to most drugs very quickly. He told me the psychiatric community is starting to recognize this and are treatming many such fast metabolizers with supra-therapeutic doses of many drugs just because the patient's body eliminates them so quickly. I'm wondering if any of you babblers who stay 'in the know' of all things psychiatric have heard of this phenomonom, and also what it would mean for someone like me who is a supposed fast metabolizer. Thanks for any info you can provide!
KatIve got a really bad disease
Its got me begging on my hands and knees
So take me to emergency
Cause somethin seems to be missing
Somebody take the pain away
Its like an ulcer bleeding in my brain
