As many here know, I'm sorta washing out my meds (I became ill and couldn't hold anything down, so I was off them abruptly for five days or so).
I'm meeting w/ a new pdoc next week who has an excellent reputation, and along with med management, he does TMS and Ketamine injections at his office.
I've been on many meds, different types, etc., but stayed on Lexapro because it kept my depression and anxiety somewhat at bay on a daily basis. It never prevents episodes.
I don't want to walk into my new pdoc's office w/ all types of ideas; I'd like him to evaluate me like a blank slate and go from there. (Of course I'll list what I've been on and negative and positive reactions, but I don't want to dictate the meeting.)
One thing though: I notice few people take Cymbalta here. I remember being on it briefly about 7 years ago but don't remember much. The thing is, I have intense leg pain--throbbing--all day long, and I like the idea of my antidepressant addressing this. I know some tricyclics can be good for pain too.
I've even been considering Nardil (the only MAOIs I tried were Emsam--too stimulating--and Moclobemide, which did nothing).
So I'm keeping an open mind and I'm not scared to ditch Lexapro, but I'd love some input.
Thanks all.
