Hey,
I have an adblocker and it seems to block adds pretty darned well. I mean to say, I am not bothered by ads. Before I installed it I was very much bothered by ads to the point where I didn't use the internet to do various things because I was that bothered by ads.
Sometimes a website informs me that I am blocked from viewing the site with adblocker on - and I respect that. I have no desire to view a site that chooses to make money from ads. It's a heads up that I don't actually want to read what they have to say / I don't actually want to view their content.
The adblock people would like a donation. That seems fair. Inasmuch as they have made a good product.
And... I don't have some pre-existing right to not be exposed to ads?
Is that the idea?
But I don't entirely understand why the adblocker people should have money for my not viewing ads.
Because ads were supposed to help support... Who, again?
The people who made content for the site I want to view... Who... Don't have ads? Who do have ads (and make money from them) or who do not display ads (and make money from that).
It's so confusing...
Does my problem make sense?
How do I spend my money on the things I want to see more of?
