i mean i worked really hard. pulled really long days to get it done. pulled really long days and weekends to get it done.
but the lesson here is that hard work is not rewarded.
people would have *wanted* me to get through faster if i had have f*ck*d around with my time. if i had have appeared guilty that i was f*ck*ng around with my time. if f*ck*ng around with my time involved many meetings discussing things like why we should consider someone for a phd scholarship who didn't even apply for a phd scholarship. maybe meetings about whether a deadline was really too late even though it had passed and maybe there was something we could do about the deadline after it had been passed. all kinds of things like these... that's where they want to see you spending your time. so you are sufficiently one of them for them to see you passed and all.
even random. they'd prefer random.

and then, what? sit on my *ss for six months?
try and deal with comments like 'i don't like the flavor of chapter 2'.
