NZ is having an issue at the moment.
There are 18 people who have tested positive for Covid.
The Ministry of Health (apparently) sent an email to the personal email address of the Chief Executive of Auckland Emergency Helicopters Trust (or some such) which contained the names and addresses (or similar) of people who had returned positive tests.
Auckland Emergency Helicopters Trust (or some such) says the information should never have been given to a CE. It is for clinicians to use to make clinical decisions.
Anyway, the CE gave the information to a politician.
The politician sent the information to media. As evidence that the current governments present management of the Covid problem is shambolic.
Apparently he got legal advice that it was okay for him to do that.
The present government (The Minister of the State Services Commission is now also Minister of Health) decided to launch a QC led investigation / inquiry into the source of the breech.
He thought privacy would protect him, somehow...
Anyway...
