I am going to be so, f*ck*ng devistated if I don't get to go to Brown. Because it is f*ck*ng perfect for me. And for so much of my life I'm stuck in this situation that is f*ck*ng awful for me and that situation is so obviously perfect for me I will be so f*ck*ng mad if things don't work out.
And because I've been following things... Following the news from multiple sources on a daily basis... And I start to feel really attached to the place... And I understand that the University is a bubble of the community... And I understand that that (in some sense) is as it must be so that the studnets don't have to spend all their time worrying about heating and food and so on... So they can focus on calculus and chemistry and on developing the relationships / knowledge of other people / developing the social networks that will serve them well / be their home base / enable them to launch into their futures...
RI is special. For being small and having 2 senators.
But it was FORCED to join the United States. Apparently... I'm still working on it...
While North Carolina dragged it's heels...
