Hi Linkadge,

I followed your previous posts about tryptophan. Don't you run the risk of serotonin syndrome by taking tryptophan when you are already taking an SSRI?

Also, how does someone know if they are deficient in serotonin. For me, my depression and obsession were greatly helped by Lexapro, which is highly selective for serotonin, but I have recently switched to Wellbutrin, which has little effect on serotonin, and yet I am even less depressed and obsessive.

Still, I think I would like to try tryptophan, considering that Lexapro did help me a lot. I am just worried about using veterinary supply trypto, esp. in light of the whole EMS thing that happened before.

I would be interested to hear what you say.

Thanks, and good luck!
