Deneb,
I've been worried about you around this issue. I think it's *wonderful* if you told your pdoc today. He can really be a help with this in more than ways than one, I'll bet. We (your Babble friends) want your physical and mental health to be the best they can be, and purging takes you down a dangerous road away from that path.
Post more about it if the need arises. There are some very kind and understanding folks here who can give you the "real deal" on ED behaviors.
Are you trying to eat no less than 1200 cals. a day? (or 1000, if you just can't manage more right now) Anything less is counter-productive and makes your body think it must conserve fuel as you're lacking food; it self-protects against possible starvation and actually slows metabolism some, defeating any attempts to lose. Just some things I was thinking about...:-) You take care.
