It does take your system time to adjust to changes. Perhaps you think you're more hungry than you really are? I dunno. Yeah things like raw celery and apples and salads are good for filling you up if your stomach is growling. I remember when I was trying out a calorie controlled eating plan in the summer I was pretty hungry too. Its a tricky one. I know you don't want to make too many changes, but exercise will allow you to eat more calories. Even if its just taking a walk. I joined an online group thing and its been pretty helpful:

Although I have to say that I've lost the most weight this autumn(fall) simply by biking everywhere and eating healthier.
