Hey Poet!
My tulips survived too! I think only because they were just planted this last fall, and it seems like it takes longer for new bulbs to appear in the spring.
LOL I ALSO hand dig out my dandelions too! I refuse to use chemicals on my lawn to kill weeds that also kill the earthworms in the soil, keeps the butterflies and hummingbirds away. Just don't get me going on that one! lol
