hi a, chemist....do not worry about the hydrogen peroxide in the toothpaste...and even the concentrated stuff - 30% - must be carefully sealed and refrigerated in the lab, as the by-products of degradation (molecular oxygen and water) start building up in little time.....and the stuff in your toothpaste is was below this concentration, and is likely partially degraded when you open the tube....all the best, chemist
