hi carebear.
first of all, i don't think your enquiring is silly or anything, i think it's good to have an enquiring mind and the more you know, the safer you can be.
I'm not a doctor but i think it would be quite rare for someone who has never had a seizure disorder of any sort to just have one in relation to the medicines, highly unlikely. but still, stranger things have happened!
I had a seizure in the night while prescribed Moclobemide for depression, which i should not have been prescribed but i wasn't aware of it lowering the threshold at the time. (i have a history of seizures and epilepsy) I woke up in the middle of the night gasping for breath and my heart was racing and a few parts of my body were completely numb, although i was awake throughout the whole episode (usually i had the unconsious fits) I wasn't able to think and i felt like something was pulling off my head. That's such an awful description and it doesn't do the sensation really any justice. But before you have a seizure you usually have a sort of anticipatory feeling, i get nauseated and smell a very weird smell and that's my warning that something is going to happen very soon. And you usually feel very fuzzy and weird the next day. and weak. I hope i gave you some kind of insight. it's very hard to describe.
