Hi GG
Having a stuffy nose really messes up one's mood. You wake up tired and groggy simply because of having difficulty breathing while asleep. If this happens to you often, it might be that you have a deviated septum, which can be corrected surgically using a septoplasty. I have suffered from this problem for years, and was recently diagnosed as having a deviated septum. I am having it fixed later this year. I am so excited! These last few days I have taken a nasal decongestant before going to bed, and the difference in my energy levels when I wake up the next morning are simply amasing. I get up feeling refreshed and energetic. I now believe that poor breathing while asleep may be the chief cause of my poor mood over the years.
