Had you discontinued desipramine and then later restart it?
Perhaps the reason desipramine is having a different effect on you now is because some fundamental improvement in your condition has occurred. Obviously, there has been a significant change in brain function. It might be for the best.
You might as well try taking it early in the day rather than later. You can take it all at once if you like.
