I've only been on it for a month or so. So I'm expecting the side effects to wear off like they have with other drugs.

I'm Caper and I've been on medications off and on since I was 22 or 23 I think. I'm 31 now.
Lexapro was my last one, and since I admit to a history of trying meds and deciding way too soon that "this doesn't work!" or "this side effect is too bad, I'm not taking this!" I decided to give Lexapro a more than decent chance.
It did absolutely NOTHING for me. No side effects, but no benefits. It was like I was taking a placebo and I took it from December til April. Now I'm on Zoloft, but trying to convince doctor to make it Wellbutrin instead, plus possibly adding trileptal soon (mood stabilizer).
Anyway, I'm obviously no fan of Lexapro, but that could be just because SSRIs no longer work for me, although prozac did for years. I'm going for Wellbutrin because it works not on serotonin, but on norepinephrine and dopamine.
I've had friends who had great experience with Lexapro though. Try posting the Lexapro question on the "Babble" board. I'm sure you'll get some helpful responses.
Take care,
Caper
