Going on Effexor XR

Hey there
This site it's not easy to figure out, I think I posted a message somewhere else but couldn't find it again.

I've just been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and I'm about to go on effexor xr, I'm having second thoughts of course.

I'm just looking for some advice, for those of you who think it helped, and for those of you who think it's awful. If you have experienced the withdrawing symptoms and if you are no longer on Effexor Xr I would love your advice.

I just want to have a better sense of what I am getting into, althoug the information I've found here has been really helpful I would like to have more of a conversation about it instead of just reading it.
