New to Effexor XR

Hi,

I have just switched to Effexor XR, 225 mg/day after being on Prozac, 60 mg/day for over ten years. Why? Because I was originally being effectively treated for OCD with Prozac, but recently have had symptoms of depression. I seemed to be a bit "wired" and I am wondering if this is normal. I also take 275 mg/day of Synthroid for hypothyroidism. Is this a healthy combination? Will my adverse symptoms eventually go away? Anybody with knowledge of these two drugs interacting please respond.
