It could be a symptom of your depression itself rather than the medication. I found that taking Cymbalta alone wasn't enough to help my depression and anxiety. After several trial, I'm now taking Lamictal, and I feel *much* better. I'm also on Campral, which has helped my anxiety lessen.
I'd go back to your doctor and ask if there is something that can be added to your meds that might help your forgetfullness. It's pretty common to have an adjunct prescribed to help an antidepressant be more effective.
