Hi! I notice your post on newbies was mounths ago,and I was just reading the newbies posts.Welcome!So,borderline personality dis:I got myself a computer a few mounths ago and went searching for answers.For myself but sole purpose my partner of 17 years.He was diag PTSD most of his life and suffered severe alcaholism and drugs addiction.(been sober 7 years now after rehab!)anyway he had a breakdown about year or two ago,and was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic.I tried to adjust to that scared as hell,but the more I read the more I thought B*LLSHIT.What a crock of s**t.The symptoms just didnt fit him at all.So I searched and searched and then I discovered borderline personality disorder.His best friend who he grew up with like family commited suicide years ago in a pretty freaky way in public,surrounded by police,over a broken relationship.My partner acts the same (nuts off)and usually allways in the name of love.Hes done it since I met him.Anyway he nutted off too much and overdosed and did other things and I still dont know why but hes heard voices ever since (which would be why they misdiagnosed him schizophrenic)>Hes never experienced psycosis before in his life,its only since the overdose,and hes also 34 years old.So anyway,im trying to learn more about BPD,glad you joined psycho babble.
