It took me about 6 weeks to feel the benefits from this medication. Once it started working, it helped more than any other I'd tried.
It was a tough ride as the side effects were so very uncomfortable, but I'm glad I held on. I have since had to switch to Cymbalta (due to Effexor's poop out after a year and a half), and it's not as effective for me. But at least there is something that helps me with the depression.
