I was diagnosed with GAD. I started a week ago with Remeron 15 mg - wow - that literally made me useless the next morning. I did go to the office - fortunately I had a driver - otherwise I would have been involved in one by serious accident. I was out on my feet - now I know how some of these boxers feel after being knocked out. Spoke to the doc - he said I must half the dosage - which I did and I was a lot better - at least productive - the next day. Been on it for the last 7 days and slept like a baby. Now - I had these weird dreams the last two nights - one seeing an aircraft crash right in front of me and the pilot killed, and last night - someone was murdered in a house and I tried to figure out if it was me... that was TOTALLY SO weird. I woke up this morning really feeling very funny emotionally. I obviously did the self-talk thing to stabilize the emotion. My question is - does these dreams go away or at least normalize after a period of time using this medication? Because if these dreams continue - it will have the opposite effect of lifting my mood... Is there any "natural" stuff that can effectively replace Remeron or any of these chemical brain "adjustors"? How long must I use this before it really starts kicking in?? It is my first time using ANY substance to enhance my mood. I actually never had a problem with my moods - was always upbeat and positive - only these last three months that I had permanent lightheadedness, loss of concentration, weird headaches, emotionally rundown, and lost a lot of weight - 15kgs(which I needed). After one week of Remeron the lightheadedness subsided quite a bit, I have my upbeat moments - but I really still struggle to concentrate and brain is still foggy... Will this also subside eventually and how long will this take? What is the implications of increasing the dosage? I hate drinking ANY pill (except the Vita-supplements) for that matter - so this is quite a new one for me!! Can anyone help... please...
Enough for now.. God bless!!
