what to expect on effexor

Hey everyone!
Im brand new to this and I just got perscribed to effexor today and im not sure what to expect.
Im 25 years old and i weigh 110 lbs and i need to know how many ppl have gained weight on this, its a concern of mine and would also like to know of any other side effects.
i just took my first pill 30 mins ago and i am a little nervous reading what other ppl have been saying about this.
I spoke with my friend and she is right, medication sometimes creates 50 problems to solve just 1 problem.
anyways, i would love some feedback
