Ah. Good. Thanks for that. I worry what I'm doing over here sometimes... Don't know what I'm doing really, just playing traffic conductor in directing people on to other boards...

> As for a welcome, thank you very much.

You are welcome.

> Haven't really gotten much of that.

Yeah. Babble can be a bit tricky sometimes...
Sometimes people don't respond to posts because the query is a frequent query that people have responded to a lot in the archives (that is why archives searches can be useful).
Also... I think it can take a bit of time for Babblers to get a sense of you as a person, for them to get to know you. After people get to know you I think it is fair to say that you tend to get more responses. Kind of... What comes around goes around. If you post to others (even just tiny small words of support) then others are more likely to read your threads and attempt to post words of support to reciprocate. But I know that sometimes people find it hard to 'break into' things here (because there are a lot of posters). In a way... I think that is the idea of the newbies board. To make sure that new posters are welcomed and that they get some kind of response. I know I found it hard to feel accepted here. In a way... That is why I like to post to the newbies... 'Cause I remember what it felt like to be new here.

> All of this is quite overwhelming, so much information.

Yeah. I understand.

> I guess I'm still looking for some support, I really don't have much of a support base.

Well then, you have definately come to the right place! There are a whole bunch of boards. Social is good just to chat (IMO fastest way into the 'social circle' is to respond to others and when others reply to reply to them - but everyone figures out their own method / style really). There is a writing board too if you are into poetry and stuff (I write terrible poetry over there)... Lots of boards...

> I think I tend to freak people out and then away. So, I'm at that cross-roads,

Do you have a therapist?

> AGAIN, what am I going to get out of a life on meds? Is my depression really that bad?

Well... How would your depression be without the meds?

> How much is my ADD/HD to blame for the issues at hand?

I think dx tends to describe problems / symptoms rather than explaining them...

> Can I ever really feel like I have either overcome or established enough stability to be recognised as a 'whole' person?

There is a self esteem board too :-)
That is something I struggle with too... Feeling like I'm broken or irreversibly damaged in some way...

> I guess I'm maybe a little bitter about even being diagnosed with all of this in the first place.

I hear you on that. I was reading something today (quite a good something) about the social construction of illness. Not your usual rave... Pretty good... But I think need a subscription to view so I didn't post a link. But there is a lot of stuff out there in terms of how much a label harms vs helps. I think I've been harmed more than helped by dx. But then... Others feel differently.

> I was going to quit seeing my phsyc cold turkey too, but I think I at least owe her an explaination of why. :\

Maybe...

> Oops sorry for the 'blah' all over.
> I'll be OK. Thanks again.

No no 'blah' is great :-)
It is just specific medical requests I have trouble with ;-)

Nice chatting with you :-)
