Hi, HarrisonsDad.
If the seroquel has the side effect that you're extremely tired, and also have gained a lot of weight (if you were 85 kg, and gained 35 kg, that's almost half of what you weighed-- seems like a lot)-- maybe you need to rethink the dose or even have your meds reevaluated.
If your pdoc is content to dispense more or less automatically, maybe a second opinion-- or a new opinion, based on how you're doing-- and also the negative side effects-- is called for.
Being exhaused is a SE that I had and in retrospect should have done something about-- a different drug, but same idea. Esp. in its impact on your relationship with your son, it seems important to address. If you're a single dad-- it takes even more energy and presence-- things that aren't quantifiable, but which make a big difference nonetheless.
Welcome to Babble though. Have you checked through the other boards-- psychology, self-esteem, social-- parents (not the most active board, but there are other parents here who post there)?
You might enjoy other areas of the board, plus the chat line, which is usually most active in the evening--which I guess, in your time, is sometime the next day-- . (There are a few people from Australia, I think-- so your part of the globe is not entirely unrepresented.)
