heya! i'm kk. i may have a few things to say about your post...
about plodding along: ha! sounds like how i've spent the last few years of my life, getting by. sometimes better than others. but, in may, i undertook a new and important adventure- having my son. so, i'm still plodding along, with a kid in tow. (but goodness, he sure does make me happy. he really does give me a reason to smile at least 4 times a day (when the little duckie finally goes to sleep! just kidding of course, that boy is my world). but, perhaps you can find something to get excited about (jeez, i don't sound like some stupid motivational speaker, do i?) but, maybe it's jsut coffee and cigarettes (it got me through for a while, honestly! knowing there was a cup of coffee waiting for me to get out of bed and a cigarette calling my name, really helped get me through. maybe you can find something like that, jsut a small amount of motivation when you can't come up with it on your own?
oh crap, after rereading your post, i see you quit smoking. (well, i bet there really is a cigarette calling your name then, huh? sorry to remind you. it's a filthy habit that i need to drop like an exboyfriend, but i don't see it happening right now.
one other thing; why not try to devote more time to your art site? maybe taking it from moderately successful to fantastically successful will help improve your motivation and mood?
